. . . custom handmade furniture inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which had its roots in England, Glasgow, New York State, Chicago, Pasadena, and many other places. At various times, this furniture has also been referred to as: Craftsman Style, Prairie Style, and Mission Style. All of these design movements are now being gathered collectively, by us and others, under the broad rubric of Bungalow Style.

For the most part, our work is adapted from the designs of

Gustav and Leopold Stickley
Charles and Henry Greene
Frank Lloyd Wright
Charles and Margaret Mackintosh

. . . as well as those of Harvey Ellis, Elbert Hubbard, Charles Limbert, the Roycrofters, and several others.

These artists were inspired in turn by the philosophies of William Morris and John Ruskin, which emphasized strict principles of fine craftsmanship and the love of the labour involved, and encouraged a passion for simple and elegant design.

Like these designers of a century ago, the appeal of our own work is based on the careful use of proportions, the meticulous selection of woods, and the emphasis on straightforward structural details that are as beautiful as they are functional .

We offer a complete line of Chairs, Tables, Bed Frames, Chests, Dressers, Desks, Bookcases, Lamps, and Shoji Screens. To view our complete portfolio, please click here to visit our Furniture Gallery.
